We all know, “breakfast is the most important meal of the day.”
We also know that it’s the easiest one to skip. It often goes something like this…
The alarm goes off. You hit snooze… 5 times. You get up and rush out the door. You get to your morning destination at 7:30 sharp, and your stomach growls. Oops.
Or maybe, you’re like me…
It’s 5 am. The morning is off to a great start, and you have so many things planned before the day begins. You read your Bible, work out, get a shower, clean the house, scroll on Instagram for just a few minutes annnnnnnnd….. It’s almost time to go. You have 10 minutes left, so you decide to skip breakfast for today…. And every other day.
Do either of these sound familiar? If so, read on to get 3 healthy and quick breakfast ideas for busy mornings like these!
Yogurt Bowls
Yogurt bowls are one of my favorite quick breakfasts. I personally use Greek yogurt for the extra protein! Here’s some yogurt bowl ideas that won’t take you any time at all:
Raspberries, dark chocolate chips, granola, and honey
Blueberries, lemon juice, and granola
Mango, coconut, honey, and granola
Grapes, brown sugar, pecans
Strawberries, peanut butter, dark chocolate chips, and honey
Apple slices, walnuts, honey, cinnamon, and granola
Overnight Oats
Overnight oats are easily the fastest breakfast to make because you can make them the night before. Simply mix equal parts oats and a milk of your choice, then just put it in the fridge while you sleep! Here’s a list of some of my favorite combos for overnight oats:
Peanut butter & chocolate chips
Apples, cinnamon, and honey
Toasted coconut and almonds
Cocoa, chocolate chips, and honey
Mixed berries, chocolate chips, and honey
Toast
You’re probably thinking, huh? Toast? Are you serious? Yes, but not plain toast, okay? We are talking toast, but add some substance to it. Here’s some filling topping ideas:
Peanut butter, sliced bananas, honey, and cinnamon
Avocado, sliced tomatoes, and cracked black pepper
Almond butter and sliced apples
Greek yogurt, berries, and honey
