My Top 3 Favorite Travel Destinations
Now, I could go on and on about every single place that I’ve been blessed to visit throughout my life. In fact, every single place I’ve gone has been my favorite and all for their own special reasons.
But, for the sake of this blog post, let’s dive into 3 destinations that I highly recommend visiting on your next adventure!
1.) The Beartooth Mountains
Location: Montana, Wyoming
The Beartooth mountains top every other place I’ve been by far. We take our motorhome up the Beartooth Highway starting in Red Lodge Montana, leading into Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.
Now, this road is not for the faint of heart. There’s places that should totally have guard rails that… don’t. But, once you get to the first pull-off, there’s a little surprise waiting for you: An insane view, and friendly chipmunks. Yes, friendly chipmunks. If you’re not into little fuzzy creatures crawling up your legs, you might want to skip this stop. I, however, could stay there for hours.
But seriously, the Beartooth Mountains are a must-see if you’re planning on traveling through Montana and Wyoming. Just make sure you check the weather, because the highway is often still closed in the early summer when there can be over 20 feet of snow covering the roads!
2.) The Grand Tetons
Location: Wyoming
Okay, so these are a popular favorite, but for good reason. I mean, do you see that picture!?
When we go, we stay at the Colter Bay campground. They have hookup options but also dry camping, a delicious restaurant on site, a gift shop, and kayak/boat rentals by the lake!
Now, there are lots of bears here… Sometimes even in the campground. So bring your bear spray, and always use the buddy system when going for hikes on the trails!
But seriously. If you’re looking for a magical place to have your morning coffee, grab your chair, take a walk down to the pebble beach, and take in the beauty of nature. Early morning wildlife will be all around you. And, if you look close enough, there’s a massive waterfall that you can see on one of the distant mountains!
3. Cedar Breaks National Monument
Location: Utah
Did you think this was Bryce Canyon? Close, but nope! It’s a bit less well-known, but equally as beautiful. It’s a steep road trip to get to this gorgeous overlook, but it’s entirely worth it. So, if you’re looking for gorgeous rock formations without the interruption of busy crowds, this is the place for you!
Cedar Breaks is often called a “geologic amphitheater,” and I think once you visit, you’ll see exactly why!

So there you have it, my top 3 favorite travel destinations that you definitely need to add to your next road trip plans! Happy travelling!
