As much as we would all love to have slow, easy mornings where we can make big delicious breakfasts, this usually is not the case. Oftentimes we are rushing around in the morning and hardly even have time to grab something to eat. So, for mornings like these, here are 4 different car-friendly breakfast ideas that you can eat on the go! (I don’t recommend eating while driving, but if you’ve only got a few minutes, you can eat them in the parking lot before you start your day! Or if you depend on someone else to take you to work or school, you’ll have mess-free options to choose from.)
1.) Yogurt Parfait
You can do SO much with yogurt parfaits. I mean really, you can choose so many different kinds of fruit, yogurt flavors, and granola variations. Simply grab a cute yogurt container or jar the night before and fill it with yogurt and the fruit of your choice. In the morning, toss some granola on the top, and you’re off! Here are a few of my favorite parfait combos:
Greek yogurt with blueberries and lemon granola
Greek yogurt with raspberries, chocolate chips, and coconut granola
Greek yogurt with strawberries, dark chocolate, and chocolate chip granola
2.) Homemade Muffins
Muffins are by far one of the easiest and yummiest breakfasts to eat on the go. Buy some cute muffin pans, get your favorite muffin mix (or make them from scratch), and you won’t have to worry about breakfast for days. I would suggest opting for a dense, more moist muffin recipe, so that they don’t crumble all over your car! Here are some of my favorite flavors
Pumpkin
Chocolate chip
Blueberry
Cinnamon & brown sugar
3.) Smoothies
Smoothies are an easy drinkable breakfast that you can take with you anywhere. You can make your smoothie the night before and keep it refrigerated, or if it’s a frozen smoothie, simply prepare a freezer bag of your favorite fruits, and throw it together in the morning before you go. Get a cute smoothie cup, and you’re ready to start your day. I’m kind of an “eyeball it and hope it turns out good” smoothie person, but here are some of my favorite mixtures:
Strawberries, bananas, yogurt, almond milk, and cocoa powder
Mangoes, pineapple chunks, greek yogurt, honey, and coconut milk
Peaches, mangoes, greek yogurt, and oat milk
4.) Homemade Energy Bites
There are so many energy-bite recipes out there. I personally love anything made with oats, honey, and chocolate! These make an easy grab-and-go breakfast. Make them the night before, get a cute little container to pack them in, and you’re ready to hit the road. Here are some flavor ideas to try out:
Chocolate
Coconut
Peanut butter
Honey
Fruity
Hopefully these 4 easy breakfasts will help you be on-time and energized every morning. No more skipping breakfast because you’re late! These simple breakfast ideas can be made the night before so that there’s no hassle in the morning. Simply grab and go!
